i. Do the affiliate products convert into sales? Clearly, revenue per affiliate sale is important. However, the rate the affiliate is converting visitors into sales is more important. Another way to measure this is EPC or Earnings Per hundred Clicks.
ii. What kind of banner ads and text links does the affiliate program have? Do the ads entice the visitor into action? Are there a wide variety of ads to fit many different blog posting situations?
iii. The more products the affiliate program offers the better. As a general rule, if two affiliate programs are comparable and one of the affiliate programs has 20 products and the other affiliate program has 2, all else being equal, you should go with the affiliate program that has 20 products. More products equals more possibilities for sales, equals more revenue for the affiliate marketer!
