Install WordPress with Fantastico Automatically
I find a good way to install wordpress with fantastico automatically. First, WordPress – a famous blogging platform which allows you to upload the platform to your own domain. WordPress is just the best blogging system you ever find on the internet. I won’t go deep into explanations why it’s so good and popular but instead I will explain how to install WordPress platform on your domain automatically. If you are using Web Hosting with cPanel like Hostgator and Hostmonster this is a matter of just few minutes.
We will install WordPress blogging platform on your domain using cPanel and tool called “Fantastico De Luxe” which is included with almost each decent hosting service.
1. Go to your cPanel X home page and find Fantastico De Luxe icon in the most bottom of the screen. (see the image below)
2. Then click on the icon and you will be taken to Fantastico screen page. Then you will need to select “WordPress” from the menu to the right hand side.
3. Have a look at the screenshot below; your page should look something like that. Now I want you to select “New Installations”.
4. Select a domain from the drop-down menu you want WordPress system to be installed to. In our case it’s is the sub-domain of your main domain you want to rank for in search engines.
5. Leave “install in directory” blank and it will be installed in your main root directory automatically.
6. Choose your administrator user name and password. You will need them when you entering admin area of your blog. Put something really common for you in these fields to make sure you won’t forget the (you can even save a notepad with login and password insome safe area of your PC)
7. Admin nickname could be the same as you login nickname. In admin email put the working email of your domain. It’s easy to create one from the home page of C-Panel (just select email accounts from the home page of c-Panel X)
8. Now you want to enter “site name”. I advise you to put your main keyword in this box or at least include it in the title.
9. When filling in “description” box remember to put in your main keyword in there as well or even better if you will start the description with your main keyword. This will make search engines thinking that your blog and website is more important and will rank it higher.
10. Click “Install WordPress” button next. Just follow these steps are specified by Fantastico.
11. On the 2nd step of the installation it will give you the link to your WordPress blog admin area. I strongly recommend you to make a shortcut link to it and save in some safe place on your computer. You will use this path to login into your admin area, this is obvious.
